At the NMC, we are proud to promote work that helps bridge the gap between the arts and sciences. We're pleased to announce we have partnered with Humans in Space Art -- a program of NASA, the DLR (German Aerospace Center), Universities Space Research Association, and Lunar Planetary Institute -- on a friendly competition where K-12 students are leading the way: The Humans in Space Art K-12 Showcase, featuring the NMC Creativity Award.

The International Youth Art Competition invites learners ages 10 to18 to submit creative artwork expressing their vision of the future of human space flight. By including the next generation in the planning of the future, the competition aims to enhance their awareness, interest in, and support for human space flight, and to allow their ideas to begin shaping the future now.

The NMC is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the competition's NMC Creativity Award, in which one talented young artist will receive recognition for communicating their vision of the future space frontier in an extremely creative manner. Who better to judge this category than the heart of the creative community -- NMCers.

In our Humans in Space Art K-12 Showcase, located in our Facebook Community, please cast your vote for the recipient of the NMC Creativity Award simply by giving a "like" to the artwork(s) of your choosing, by August 9th.

The winner will receive a special trophy along with a letter of recognition that they can carry with them throughout their continued education. We think you'll agree that all of the works of art are brilliant, and it's clear that K-12 students, no matter how young, have wonderfully creative visions of the future of science. Thank you so much for supporting this with your "Likes"!
